About Sam

Most of my time is usually spent building secure cloud systems (AWS is where you’ll usually find me) or 3D printing.

I have a passion for tech-based art, think Teamlabs! This usually results in some 3D printing (I’m even paid to do this via my company FSNDigital) or building something from CAD.

One of my most successful projects is HucklowNet. HucklowNet works with rural businesses and communities to provide fibre to the premises (FTTP) internet services in rural areas of the UK - now providing up to 1 Gbps services. I am no longer with this project but look back fondly at 13 years of sticking two fingers up to BT!

Holding a BEng (Hons) Electronic Engineering (IEng) degree and being an IET Member, I apply an efficient and reliable Engineering mindset to many a problem.

Social rights are of core value to me, previously volunteering for a minor political party and standing in the 2015 General Election as a candidate in Salford and Eccles for PPUK.

I am currently looking for a new philanthropic project.

My skills, not exhaustive, not ordered - these are usually the things I blog about:

  • Art via Technology
  • Anything related to the airline industry
  • Workshop setups (I love seeing other people’s setups)
  • Kubernetes
